The Blog

I’m new to blogging and I’ll be honest I don’t know what the hell I am doing.  But I am doing it because I think I need to; people have told me it’s therapeutic.  It doesn’t matter if people read it or not, you’re just writing and throwing it out there.  One of the things I’ve found is how difficult it is to set it up…there are some fab blogs out there and, in my mind, I had all these ideas about how I wanted it to look. I spent ages picking out themes, colours, and layouts and then when I had finished, I realised it looked like the bloody waiting room in the hospital! It looked like the leaflet for a hospice. So please bear with me, one day it may look exactly like a hospital waiting room, the other day it might look like the CBeebies TV studio! 

If you are reading this then Hi! Welcome and thank you for reading my blog…for whatever reason you are here I hope that my blog helps to better understand the mystery that is the Thyroid and (well that word we all hate) Cancer! I did think about calling it something else like “dickhead” but to be honest I’ve accepted it for the dickhead that it is and we’ve kind of made friends, I thought about calling it something normal like Dave…but Dave is my Cousin, and I don’t think he’d appreciate that I’d named my tumour after him so I’ll stick with Cancer or C as I’ve called it in the title of my blog.  The butterfly is of course the Thyroid, because it’s shaped like a butterfly…I’ll talk more about that later.
