Fatigue

I’m tired! Nobody told me that I would feel like this.  I’ve done two half days at work this week and I am ready for bed by the time I wake up. This morning I dropped Lily at the Childminder’s, came home and ate breakfast and then promptly fell asleep. When I woke up I was still tired, today is my day off and I made a few plans but pretty much my day has been this...I drove to the supermarket, bought a huge tub of Ben and Jerry’s, drove home, made lunch and watched back to back episodes of Sex and the City.  I feel guilty that I have sat here all day doing nothing, but I’ve nearly got to the Paris episodes and I can’t stop watching.
What is it? Is it my body repairing itself? My medication? Is the Cancer still there? I’m not running marathons...so what’s going on? I’m starting to think about the radio-iodine treatment and actually being in isolation for a few days may not be so bad after all...because I can sleep!!

My medication could possibly be making me tired and that’s not surprising...just look at it all! And no your eyes are not deceiving you, those are the actual size of my calcium tablets. They are absolutely disgusting too...you drop them into water and they fizz up and then you drink the chalky, fake orange tasting drink.  Once I’ve downed it I shiver every time and then have to eat a cracker to take the taste away. It’s not good. I have to write out what I need to take each day otherwise I forget and yes I could put it all into my phone but I absolutely refuse to get one of those boxes where you put all your medication in. My Grandma had one...I’m not a Grandma and those big hockey puck sized tablets won’t even fit in anyway!

The thing is these tablets are keeping me well, functioning and if those giant, wagon wheel sized tablets stop me from having a calcium crash again then I guess I’m just going to have to crack on and take them. If it means every now and again I have to lie on a settee and watch Sex and the City then that’s not so bad is it? Maybe I’ll stick those calcium tablets in a cocktail glass and call it a Manhattan!
